Quality and Documentation Policy

MEHWER® maintains a batch-based quality and documentation system for Himalayan Catnip— from raw-material receipt through processing, packing, storage and dispatch.

Quality Controls

Each production batch is handled under defined procedures covering:

  • Raw-material inspection and botanical identity verification
  • Cleaning and removal of foreign matter
  • Controlled low-temperature drying
  • Moisture and purity assessment
  • Cutting, sieving and particle-size classification
  • Visual, colour and aroma evaluation
  • Microbiological and contaminant testing, where required
  • Metal-detection control before packing
  • Packaging-integrity and label verification
  • Batch coding, retention samples and traceability records

Batch Documentation

Commercial consignments can be supported, as applicable, by:

  • Product Specification Sheet
  • Technical Data Sheet
  • Batch Certificate of Analysis
  • Safety Data Sheet or Safety Data Summary
  • Commercial Invoice and Packing List
  • Certificate of Origin
  • Phytosanitary or fumigation certificate, where required
  • Applicable laboratory test reports
  • Export and shipping documentation
  • Private-label specifications and approved packaging records

Testing Requirements

Testing parameters are agreed according to product grade, intended application, buyer specifications and destination-country requirements. These may include:

  • Moisture
  • Foreign matter
  • Purity
  • Particle size
  • Microbiological parameters
  • Heavy metals
  • Pesticide residues
  • Nepetalactone profile or content
  • Other buyer-requested parameters

Testing not included in the standard product specification may require additional cost and lead time.

Traceability

Every commercial batch is assigned a unique batch number linked to available records for sourcing, processing, quality evaluation, packing and dispatch. Representative retention samples are maintained for internal reference in accordance with the applicable retention procedure.

Document Control

Quality and commercial documents are reviewed before release. Only approved versions are issued, and any buyer-specific specification must be agreed in writing before production or packing begins.

Buyer Responsibility

Buyers are responsible for confirming that the selected product, packaging, documentation and intended use comply with the laws and regulatory requirements of the destination market. MEHWER® does not issue certificates or make compliance claims unless they are supported by valid documentation or completed testing.

Our Commitment

MEHWER® is committed to supplying consistently processed Himalayan Catnip with transparent specifications, batch-level documentation and dependable export support. Product release is based on agreed specifications—not unsupported marketing claims.
